Cardboard City 01 - Belgrade, Serbia, 2001 "Cardboard City" is a name for parts of Belgrade which are inhabited with Roma (Gipsy) people who's main occupation is collecting old paper and cardboard for recycling. Living conditions in the "Cardboard City" are completely non-hygienic and extremely inhuman. Houses are made out of cardboard, sheet-metal and other materials not suitable for house building. There is no running or drinking water, no city canalization system.
